Reza Ahmadi, Ph.D.

Managing Principal

Reza has more than 15 years experience working with organizations and leaders to develop impactful business strategies, design effective organizations, create high performance cultures and lead complex organizational change. His consulting experience spans organizational and leadership development, organizational assessment, process development, workplace strategy and change management.

Reza’s clients rely on him to quickly assess performance inhibitors and enablers, and identify actions to allow their organizations to deliver on their strategic objectives. To this end he has led numerous organization assessments, developed strategies for cross functional collaboration, designed organizations to execute specific businesses strategies, and executed large change campaigns.

High stakeholder engagement and collaboration are hallmarks of his work, and essential to developing practical actions, and allowing new knowledge to become embedded in his client’s organizations. He has a strong background in Organizational Psychology and interpretive organizational theory. With this he brings his clients a rich organizational systems perspective and a focus on narrative as key pathways toward action, development and change at the individual, team and organizational level.

Prior to his current focus Reza was a member of Jones Lang LaSalle Strategic Consulting, Interplay Learning Corp, Mariposa Leadership and Hagberg consulting. Reza holds a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara, a PhD in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and is Six Sigma Certified.

Dave Ancel, Ed.D.

Principal and Founder

Dave’s professional interests lay at the intersection of strategy and leadership. A strong background in interpretive organizational theory supports his work with clients. He developed a robust strategic narrative process to keep leaders on track in forming, communicating and promoting their business strategies. Dave has scoped, organized, and led large scale strategy, leadership development, and business transformation initiatives and has effectively coached numerous executives to align their strategic intent with clear and measurable actions. Dave got his start in the business consulting world working with the Tom Peters Group. He was certified to deliver the Leadership Challenge workshop under its author and designer, Jim Kouzes. His work is outcome-focused, keeping business objectives in mind and partnering to get the work done.

Prior to Emergent Solutions, Dave founded Interplay Learning Corporation. He was responsible for building customer relationships, design, and implementation of global organization development initiatives, and leadership and executive development programs. He has strong international experience in Asia, Europe and Latin America – having lived for many years in Indonesia and Chile – and is fluent in Spanish. He works globally with companies throughout the high-technology, bio-technology and medical technology world.
